Warm, thoughtful interiors shaped by a lifelong love of home and design

A Lifelong Eye for Home

My love for interiors began long before I knew it was a career. As a child, I spent hours rearranging my bedroom and repainting walls – captivated by how a space could completely transform with just a few intentional changes.

I grew up in a classic mid-century ranch home, but some of my strongest design memories come from my grandmother’s Shirtwaist home (a regional architectural style similar to a Craftsman or American Foursquare) in Kansas City. The intricate millwork, paneled walls, and sense of character in every detail left a deep impression. It taught me early on that great design is never just about décor – it’s about feeling, craftsmanship, and intention.

Friends and family noticed that instinct early, and I naturally became the person they called when they needed help making a room feel “right.” Over time, that instinct grew into a design practice shaped by education, hands-on experience, and a love of helping others feel at home in their spaces.

Where Design Meets Real Experience

My background in real estate and property investment gives me a unique lens into how homes function, what adds lasting value, and how to approach design decisions with clarity. I’ve also managed several personal renovation projects over the years, so I understand the emotional side of the process—the excitement, the overwhelm, the decisions, the budgets, and the hope for how your home will feel when everything comes together.

That perspective shapes every project I take on. Whether it’s a single-room refresh, a full renovation, or helping buyers personalize a newly built home, my goal remains the same: to create spaces that look beautiful, work effortlessly, and genuinely reflect the people who live in them.

My Design Philosophy

Great design begins with how a space should feel. I focus on timeless foundations layered with personality, comfort, and meaning. My work combines:

thoughtful flow from room to room

layered lighting that adapts to the moment

mixed textures and finishes for depth

balanced scale and proportion

curated artwork and personal pieces

The result is a home that feels warm, intentional, and elevated - current, yet never dictated by trends.

How I Work

Design is a collaboration. I listen closely, refine thoughtfully, and guide the process with a balance of creativity and practicality.

Clients often come to me when they feel stuck or unsure how to move forward. Together, we explore what their home can become—whether that means transforming a builder-standard interior into something more bespoke, elevating a primary suite or kitchen, or bringing beauty and function to hardworking spaces like laundry rooms.

I respect the expertise of builders and trades and partner with them toward a shared goal: a home that feels cohesive, considered, and tailored to the people who live there. My favorite moments are the reactions when a space finally comes together—the “I wish we had done this sooner” feeling that makes the entire journey worthwhile.

On a Personal Note…

When I’m not working with clients, I’m happiest spending time with my husband, our chocolate lab Mary, and our adult twins when they’re home. I love to travel and often find design inspiration in the architecture and interiors of the places we explore.

Movies and set design are another creative influence – I’m endlessly inspired by the way stories are told through environments. I also love tennis, a great book, and the simple joy of a home filled with the people (and dog) I love.
